Any barbecues used on our sites should be specifically designed and used only for the purpose of cooking food (i.e. not firepits). They should be robust, secure and able to be raised off of the forest floor, there should be no damage or marks left on the ground where they have been used. I just had a lovely 3 night break at Long Meadow, staying in my rented camper van. A beautiful location in the New Forest with nearby walking and cycle trails. There is a deer herd on site, which is amazing to see. The showers and toilets are clean and modern. The staff are super welcoming, helpful and friendly. Thank you to Dale who helped me to set my van up as I needed to borrow a longer power lead (I’m a total newbie). I would definitely come back here for some peaceful r&r time.

Had one night in the van. Very quiet. All you can hear are the birds. Big field with direct access into the forest where you can walk into Brockenhurst. The team are very friendly and welcoming. Toilets and showers very clean.

We had a fantastic week long holiday at Long meadow. Excellent gravel bike rides in the New Forest. Great position for accessing all there is to offer. Public transport is available at the end of the drive. Wildlife amazing, the deer are very amusing and visited us during the night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We felt we had made some new friends by the time we left.. sad to go back home…

Wonderful site. Stayed for the weekend, the campsite was full, but everyone had lots of space and the facilities were great. I didn’t feel like it was busy. Also lots of respectful campers – very little noise. The deer made it a completely different type of camping, the kids and adults loved seeing them. Great walks on the doorstep too. Can’t wait to come back soon!

We were at the camp for only one night, as it was our first time camping. The place was lovely, clean (apart from the deer poo- which couldn’t be helped) and the staff was so friendly. Showers and toilets were spotless, and there’s a lovely tuck shop where you can find some necessities. About 5km walk there’s Brockenhurst town where we went for lunch and a lovely bakery. One of the staff Lorenzo, was so helpful as our stove wasn’t working and he let us borrow his for the night. Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful campsite set in glorious surroundings in the heart of the New Forest. We hired the Bell tents and a Pod to cater for our family weekend. The whole glamping experience was a huge hit with everyone. Fantastic helpful and warmly welcoming staff who keep the facilities spotlessly clean. The herd of deer who greet you in the morning is truly marvellous. I would highly recommend this campsite.

Facilities were top-notch with clean, warm toilets and showers. The location was ideal for exploring the New Forest on foot. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

Visited nearly every campsite in the wonderful New Forest over the years, but for some reason not Long Meadow . “D” ?? Excellent location, large pitches, well maintained and all the facilities you need. But most exceptional are the wardens … so welcoming and friendly. Thank you Dale and Sally – on duty when we were there. We I’ll be back!
